v1.5.0
New Release
Templates and clearer run logs
Go from idea to a working automation faster with ready-made templates, smarter suggestions, more flexible triggers, and run logs that explain failures.
v1.5.0
Improved
Since launching AI Assist and the API, we've watched how teams build automations. The most common feedback was clear: the first rule is the hardest one, and a failed run should tell you why. Shard 1.5 is all about both.
Improved
Templates: start from ready-made automations for common engineering and ops jobs, like deploy notifications, incident response, weekly release digests, and on-call handoffs. Pick one, adjust it, and turn it on.
Smarter suggestions: AI Assist now notices repetitive work, like the same update posted every week, and suggests an automation you can set up in a click.
More flexible triggers: combine several conditions in a single rule to be precise about when an automation runs.
Clearer editor: a simplified layout makes rules easier to read, test, and adjust, so you can see exactly what will happen before you switch it on.
Better run logs: failed runs now explain what went wrong in plain language, point to the step that failed, and suggest what to try next.
Why we built it
Automation should save time from the very first minute, and a failure shouldn't leave you digging. Templates and clearer logs mean you no longer start from a blank screen or have to guess what broke.
Try it
Open Automations and choose Browse templates to get started. Your existing automations keep working exactly as before, and you can use the new editor to refine them whenever you like.
