You don't need a week of setup to get value from automation. In this guide, we'll go from a blank workspace to a working automation, with a log you can check, in about ten minutes.
Step 1: Connect a tool
Automations need something to react to. Open Settings, choose Integrations, and connect one tool your team uses every day, like chat or your code platform. Grant access only to the channels or repositories you need.
Step 2: Build a trigger and an action
Create a new automation and pick a trigger, such as a pull request merging. Then add one action, like posting a message to your team channel. One trigger and one action is plenty for a first workflow.
Step 3: Test it and check the run
Trigger the automation once, then open run history to see each step and its result. If something looks off, adjust and run it again. When you're happy, switch it on and move to your next idea.
