How AI Assist works

Draft automations, get suggestions, and understand failed runs, while staying in control.

AI Assist turns plain-language requests into automations you can review, edit, and run. It drafts the workflow, and you stay in control of what goes live.

What it can do

  • Draft automations from a description, like "When a deploy fails, open an incident and notify on-call."

  • Suggest improvements, such as adding a retry or narrowing a condition.

  • Explain runs, summarizing why a run failed and what to try next.

  • Spot repetitive work and suggest automations for it.

What it doesn't do

AI Assist never switches anything on by itself. Every draft is saved as a draft until you review and enable it.

Your connections

AI Assist works from the tools and permissions you've already set up. It can only suggest steps for tools you've connected.

Tip: be specific about the trigger and the outcome. "When X happens, do Y in Z" works best.
